The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry through the ministry of foreign affairs was given the privilege to invite and host the Mombasa Business community to attend the first Kenya-Uganda business forum that was held on 27th March 2019 at the Sarova Whitesands Hotel, Mombasa. The forum was graced by both H.E Uhuru Kenyatta, president of Kenya and H.E. Yoweri Museveni, president of Uganda.
H.E. Yoweri Museveni was accompanied by business people from Uganda who represented the following sectors;
- Agriculture & Aggro-business
- Manufacturing
- Transport and logistics
- Health
- Tourism
- services
The main purpose of the forum was to meet, discuss and interact with Uganda Business counterparts and explore investment opportunities in both countries. Private sector representatives and associations from both countries were both in attendance.
